In RTKXIV, players will experience the pivotal Three Kingdoms period of Ancient China, allowing them to make their mark on history as they set out to conquer China and unify the Three Kingdoms. Harrison Ford’s ‘Call of the Wild’ to Lose $50 Million at Box Office

Harrison Ford’s canine adventure “The Call of the Wild” is shaping up to be the latest box office dud for the Disney-owned 20th Century.

The film, based on Jack London’s best-selling novel, has made $45 million in the U.S. and $79 million globally after two weeks in theaters. That wouldn’t be a bad result, had “The Call of the Wild” cost a moderate amount to make and market. However, it carries a price tag above $125 million, meaning the film needs to make between $250 million and $275 million to break even, according to sources close to the production and rival studio executives. Given the unlikeliness that it’ll reach those ticket sales, “The Call of the Wild” is expected to lose around $50 million. TSG co-financed the film, which will help mitigate damages for Disney.

Misbehaviour (2020) - True Story of How Women’s Liberation Movement Took On Miss World

The film is directed by BAFTA winner Philippa Lowthorpe (Three Girls) and stars Keira Knightley, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Jessie Buckley, Greg Kinnear, Lesley Manville, Keeley Hawes, Rhys Ifans and Phyllis Logan.

A politically relevant, inspirational true story, the film skilfully combines humour with drama to celebrate all women, however they choose to navigate a male-dominated world:

In 1970, the Miss World competition took place in London, hosted by US comedy legend, Bob Hope. At the time, Miss World was the most-watched TV show on the planet with over 100 million viewers.  Claiming that beauty competitions demeaned women, the newly formed Women’s Liberation Movement achieved overnight fame by invading the stage and disrupting the live broadcast of the competition. Not only that, when the show resumed, the result caused uproar: the winner was not the Swedish favourite but Miss Grenada, the first black woman to be crowned Miss World. In a matter of hours, a global audience had witnessed the patriarchy driven from the stage and the Western ideal of beauty turned on its head.

Lucifer Bosses Officially on Board for Potential Season 6 at Netflix

If Lucifer returns for a sixth season at Netflix, it will do so with its primary creative team in tact.

TVLine has learned exclusively that co-showrunners Ildy Modrovich and Joe Henderson have closed new deals to remain at the helm of the death-defying drama for a potential Season 6. News of the pair’s freshly inked pact paves the way for the series’ official Season 6 renewal at Netflix, although one big obstacle remains: Leading man Tom Ellis does not yet have a deal to return. I’m told negotiations between the actor and Warner Bros. Television continue and all sides are expecting a positive outcome.

'Les Miserables' Wins Best Film at Cesar Awards, Polanski Takes Best Director

Feminist protestors disrupted the Friday ceremony, decrying the 12 nominations given to Roman Polanski's 'An Officer and a Spy.'

Les Misérables, Ladj Ly's blistering look at life in the Parisian banlieues, has won the 2020 Cesar Award for best film, beating out all comers, including Roman Polanski's An Officer and a Spy.

Les Misérables also picked up the best male newcomer Cesar for Alexis Manenti, playing a racist cop, the public Cesar, voted on by the French-going audience, and a best editing honor for Flora Volpelière.

But the French Film Academy ignored a street full of protestors and a furious army of online critics to give Polanski its top directing honor Friday night. The controversial director won the best directing Cesar for An Officer and a Spy. Polanski and co-writer Robert Harris also won the best adapted screenplay prize for the film and Pascaline Chavanne took the Cesar for best costume design.

Vietnam says no more drinking scenes in movies

Scenes of actors drinking alcohol in films will be restricted under a new decree guiding the alcohol law.

Cinemas will only show actors drinking if they are playing historical characters or acting in scenes that criticize alcohol addiction, Decree 24, which took effect on Monday to guide several provisions of the Law on Preventing Alcohol's Harmful Effects, lays down.

Movies are not allowed to admire or praise individuals and organizations achieving success by producing alcohol or doing any business related to alcohol.

In June last year lawmakers approved time restrictions for advertising liquor on television and radio. According to the decree, advertisements for alcoholic drinks will be banned from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and immediately before and after and during children’s programs.

Frank of Ireland with the Gleeson Brothers

Frank of Ireland, a brand-new series from Sharon Horgan and Clelia Mountford’s Merman starring Brian Gleeson. A co-production between Channel 4 and Amazon Studios, the 6x30 series is the first comic vision penned by brothers Brian and Domhnall Gleeson and Michael Moloney.

Frank Marron, played by Brian Gleeson (Peaky Blinders, The Bisexual), is a 32-year-old catastrophe. A misanthropic, narcissistic, fantasist in arrested development who thinks the world owes him something. But, nonetheless, he’s our hero. They don’t all wear capes, okay?!

Frank lives in Dublin with his mother Mary (Pom Boyd, Rosie, Rialto,Snakes and Ladders), and that’s fine. He is single and his pocket money hasn’t increased in a decade or more, but you know what?! That’s fine too. Frank is a musician, understood? He hasn’t written a song or played a gig in seven years and five months, but that is totally, 100% fine. His ex-girlfriend Aine (Sarah Greene, Dublin Murders, Rosie, Ransom) has a new boyfriend Peter-Brian (Tom Vaughan-Lawlor, Dublin Murders, Rialto, Avengers: Endgame) for the first time since they split, and Frank may be finding that a tad difficult, alright? When did they part, you ask? About seven years and five months ago, give or take a day, but that’s a total coincidence, just in case you’re wondering. It’s all absolutely fine. Frank is fine.

Rian Johnson Reveals Apple Won’t Allow Bad Guys in Movies to Use iPhones

No wonder the killer in "Knives Out" is one of the only characters who does not use an Apple product.

Rian Johnson reveals in a new video interview with Vanity Fair an interesting mandate Apple has on movie productions: Bad guys and villain characters in films are not allowed to be seen using iPhones. The reveal was made as Johnson was breaking down a pivotal scene from his most recent directorial effort, “Knives Out.” The scene is when Ransom Drysdale (Chris Evans) arrives at the Thrombey household and all of the main characters converge for the first time.

Several characters are seen holding iPhones, including Jamie Lee Curtis’ Linda Drysdale, but the one person without an Apple product is Ransom. “Knives Out” viewers know that Ransom is the killer at the center of Johnson’s murder mystery, which means the character was prohibited from being featured in “Knives Out” with an iPhone.

The 'No Time To Die' Runtime Is Confirmed (And It's The Longest Bond Film Ever)

Daniel Craig is bowing out as James Bond after No Time To Die. But he's making his stint as 007 last as long as humanly possible. Not content with playing the MI6 for longer than any other actor, his swansong will also be the longest Bond film in the franchise, according to runtime details released by cinemas in the US and the Netherlands.

US cinema chain Regal has revealed that the 25th Bond film will clock in at 163 minutes – that's two hours and 43 minutes fact fans – which beats the previous longest Bond film, Spectre, by a quarter of an hour. Oddly enough, Craig's stint also includes the shortest Bond film, Quantum of Solace, which had a runtime of 106 minutes. It felt a lot longer, though.

How 'Better Call Saul' and 'Breaking Bad' Changed Albuquerque Forever

Breaking Bad, considered one of the greatest TV shows of all time, won nearly every television award in existence. Its spin-off prequel set six years prior, Better Call Saul, has also been critically acclaimed; as was El Camino, a feature-length film presented as an epilogue to Bad and released late last year on Netflix. For over a decade, creator Vince Gilligan has slowly been building out his own fictional universe in the Southwest, filled with con men, cartels, crime syndicates posing as fast food companies, and, of course, bright blue meth.

But one of Gilligan’s more incidental accomplishments during this time was helping to put Albuquerque, New Mexico on the map—not only as a major filming hub (Netflix bought Albuquerque Studios for close to $30 million in 2019, and signed an agreement promising $1 billion in production spending over the next decade), but as a destination for Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul fans. In both shows, the city of Albuquerque becomes as much of a central character as chemistry-teacher-turned-meth-cook Walter White (Bryan Cranston) or smarmy attorney Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk), with most scenes shot on location throughout the region.

'Mission: Impossible VII' Halts Filming Due to Coronavirus Outbreak

A three-week shoot had been planned in Italy.

The upcoming Mission: Impossible installment has stopped production in Venice, due to a Coronavirus outbreak in Italy. The country has more than 150 confirmed cases, with the government shutting Venice's carnival celebrations.

"Out of an abundance of caution for the safety and well-being of our cast and crew, and efforts of the local Venetian government to halt public gatherings in response to the threat of coronavirus, we are altering the production plan for our three-week shoot in Venice, the scheduled first leg of an extensive production for Mission: Impossible 7," a spokesperson for Paramount on Monday told The Hollywood Reporter in a statement. "During this hiatus we want to be mindful of the concerns of the crew and are allowing them to return home until production starts. We will continue to monitor this situation, and work alongside health and government officials as it evolves."
