Code 404, a Sky original comedy, launches on Sky One and NOW TV on 29 April

Horror Channel are broadcasting HELLRAISER and HELLRAISER II: HELLBOUND. How does it feel being part of such an iconic franchise?

I feel extremely fortunate. And I'm grateful to Horror Channel for screening the films, as there's a chance for people who've not seen them before to watch them. I've introduced the films at various screenings and I'm always delighted there's often a 50/50 split between fans of the films and first timers.


You’ve spoken a lot about your experiences of playing the Chatterer Cenobite. Looking back, how much would you say it has defined your career?

Oh, it made my career. It's given me the chance to work with some really interesting young film makers such as MJ Dixon, Paddy Murphy, Stewart Sparke, Katie Bonham, Federico Ichi Scargiali and Lawrie Brewster. And it led to writing comics for Marvel in the 1990's. It's opened many doors for me, particularly in terms of meeting fans of the films who've been very supportive too.

‘Tiger King’ Ranks as TV’s Most Popular Show Right Now, According to Rotten Tomatoes

Netflix has a tiger tale that has punched into the zeitgeist with “Tiger King,” stocked with a cast of real-life bizarre personalities and sinister plot twists.

“Tiger Tale,” a true-crime-style docuseries that debuted March 20 on Netflix, ranks as the most popular current TV show, according to Rotten Tomatoes. It has a 97% critic’s rating and a 96% audience score — putting it at the top of the site’s most-popular TV shows list, ahead of Netflix’s “Ozark” Season 3; “Queen of the South” Season 4 and “The Sinner” Season 3.

And according to Netflix’s own daily rankings, “Tiger King” is the No. 1 most-watched title in the U.S. for March 29 on the service — both overall and among TV shows — and has been in the top 10 for the past week.

Box Office: Why Blockbusters Like ‘Tenet,’ ‘Top Gun’ And ‘Soul’ Have Yet To Be Delayed By Coronavirus

Most of the big June, July and August releases have yet to move, partially out of hopes that they won't have to.

We got word yesterday that Warner Bros. was delaying nearly its entire summer movie slate. While Scoob (originally slated for May 15), In the Heights (June 26) and Malignant (August 14) will open theatrically at a time-to-be-determined, Wonder Woman 1984 has been officially delayed from June 5 to August 14. Oddly enough, Chris Nolan’s $200 million sci-fi actioner Tenet, starring John David Washington and Robert Pattinson, has thus far maintained its intended July 17 opening weekend. It is one of a handful of potentially “big” movies that has yet to vacate its planned theatrical release date, arguably because it’s hoping that it won’t have to.

While most of the (presumably) biggest summer 2020 offerings are no longer slated to open as intended, although Wonder Woman 1984’s new release date still qualifies it as a summer movie, there are a few holdouts that are still technically scheduled to open in May, June and July. Along with DC Films’ Wonder Woman sequel, Marvel’s Black Widow is no longer opening on May 1, Spiral: From the Book of Saw is no longer opening on May 15, F9: The Fast Saga is no longer opening on May 22 and Illumination’s Minions 2: The Rise of Gru is no longer slated for July 3. So, what’s left among the potential summer biggies?

Matt Reeves Confirms Production on 'The Batman' Has Shut Down Indefinitely

Director Matt Reeves confirmed the news on Wednesday, responding to someone on Twitter who asked if shooting of The Batman had experienced any delays.  The Batman had been filming in Leavesden Studios in Hertfordshire, England and Glasgow Cathedral, in Glasgow, Scotland at the time of the shutdown.

The Batman is an upcoming American superhero film based on the DC Comics character of the same name. Produced by DC Films and distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures, it was developed as the tenth film in the DC Extended Universe and a reboot of the Batman film franchise.

The Real Reason Why Steve Carell Left ‘The Office’

Few actors have left as big a void on a TV series than Steve Carell on The Office. For seven seasons, Carell amazed with his phenomenally nuanced performance as Michael Scott—at once the world’s worst boss, but also a deeply empathetic and lonely human. After Carell’s exit in the show’s seventh season, the NBC series had serious trouble recovering, and the quality certainly dipped in its final two seasons. Some shows can soldier on with cast changes, but when it came to The Office, the series was a shell of its former self without Michael Scott.

But new revelations have pulled back the curtain on the circumstances of Carell’s exit—namely that the insanely talented performer wasn’t actually itching to leave the show at all, and was game to return for at least Season 8. Interviews in Andy Greene’s newly released book The Office: The Untold Story of the Greatest Sitcom of the 2000s claim that Carell’s decision to leave The Office had more to do with network ambivalence than a burning desire to break free from the constraints of a broadcast sitcom.

‘Wonder Woman 1984’ Release Pushed Until August

Warner Bros. is postponing Diana Prince’s return to the big screen. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, “Wonder Woman 1984” will now hit theaters on Aug. 14 instead of June 5.

“When we greenlit ‘Wonder Woman 1984,’ it was with every intention to be viewed on the big screen and are excited to announce that Warner Bros. Pictures will be bringing the film to theatres on Aug. 14,” Toby Emmerich, Warner Bros. Pictures Group chairman, said in a statement. “We hope the world will be in a safer and healthier place by then.”

The delays were inevitable as multiplexes across the country remain closed to help halt the spread of the novel virus. Warner Bros. was always committed to debuting its “Wonder Woman” sequel in cinemas, and the studio felt it was realistic for theaters to be up and running again by August. Warner Bros. is now looking for new times to release “In the Heights,” “Scoob” and “Malignant.”

Big Show stars in "The Big Show Show" only on Netflix

The World's Largest Athlete takes on a new role in "The Big Show Show," premiering Monday, April 6, only on Netflix.

The Big Show Show is an upcoming English-language comedy television series starring WWE wrestler, Big Show.

The show is produced by WWE Studios and will air on Netflix. Josh Bycel and Jason Berger are executive producers and showrunners, with Susan Levison and Richard Lowell serving as executive producers for WWE Studios.

In September 2019, Big Show announced on Steve Austin's podcast that the show has filmed three episodes and will premier around the time of WrestleMania 36.

The show will feature Big Show as a fictional version of himself. The premise will feature his teenage daughter moving in with him, his wife and an additional two daughters

ITV Daytime to stop broadcasting Lorraine and Loose Women

ITV Daytime has taken the decision to stop broadcasting Lorraine and Loose Women live from Monday 23rd March.  This decision has been made to minimise the number of staff travelling in and out of our studios and working together on shift at any one time.

We're focusing our efforts on providing to viewers the latest news on the rapidly changing situation which aims to offer some stability and continuity in all our lives whilst so many of us are at home right now. That’s why we have taken this tough decision to protect our GMB News programme in the morning and keep This Morning on air for as long as possible.

From Monday we will be running an extended version of Good Morning Britain from 0600 until 10am. At 9am Lorraine Kelly will join Piers in the GMB studio for the last hour and then hand straight over to the This Morning studio with Phillip and Holly as usual running from 10am until 1230pm. We will then run some of our most favourite repeat episodes of Loose Women from 12.30pm to 1.30pm to give viewers something to smile about each day at lunchtime.

We have been reducing our crew numbers over the last week and these changes will enable us to reduce them further and help us build further resilience with the aim of  Daytime content continuing to air for as long as possible.

Safeguarding the well-being of everyone involved with our programmes is our priority and in this dynamically developing situation we will obviously continue to review these new arrangements on a day by day basis and follow at all times the latest PHE and WHO guidelines.

“ITV has sadly taken the decision to suspend production of the soaps Coronation Street and Emmerdale with effect from Monday 23 March 2020.

We’ve been doing our best to carry on filming, whilst adhering to the Government’s latest health guidelines, to ensure we’ve episodes of both soaps airing on ITV until at least the early summer.

However, the health and well-being of the production teams, actors, crew and their families is of paramount importance to us and we now feel that the time has come to stop filming.

We’d like to thank our viewers for their support and hope they continue to enjoy both soaps in the coming months.“

Disney's 2010 movie "Tangled" is seeing a resurgence during the coronavirus pandemic.

Google reported on Friday that "what is the name of the kingdom in 'Tangled'" has been a top search over the last day.

The name of the kingdom is Corona. In the movie, which stars the voices of Mandy Moore and Zachary Levi, the animated Rapunzel, who is the princess of Corona, lived her whole life in a tower before the events of the movie begin.

Social media users have been highlighting the coincidence of the names this week.

Rosario Dawson will appear in The Mandalorian season 2

Rosario Dawson will appear in The Mandalorian season 2 and she will be playing a fan-favorite character previously only seen in the Star Wars animated productions. 

Dawson will be playing a live-action version of Ahsoka Tano, Anakin Skywalker’s Jedi padawan apprentice who appeared in Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars: Rebels. This would be the character’s first appearance in live-action.

US box office drops 97% year-on-year on Wednesday to reach historic low

With only around 440 cinemas of 5,600 still open across the US, Wednesday’s midweek box office takings hit a historic low with $300,000 recorded.

Most multiplexes, including the AMC, Regal and Cinemark chains, closed earlier this week. It is thought that some drive-ins, whose revenue is not officially recorded, remain open.

I'm excited for them to finally be able to enjoy what I like to call our "Punisher" movie.

Sylvia: Maybe it's happened because the UK has been the most supportive of our work, so Vendetta is now going to be a smash hit and we can finally get to work on the sequel. See who hasn't been horribly murdered and there's still a vendetta to take them out. We're pretty excited to see what the reaction to the film will be - we have a lot of fun directing action and working with these incredible stunt teams.

2020 just got a bit more exciting for Switch gamers looking for gods to slay. During today’s Indie World showcase, Nintendo revealed that pixel-art boss rush game Eldest Souls from Fallen Flag Studio and publisher United Label is coming to Nintendo Switch this summer. The online event exclusively revealed brand new Switch gameplay footage, showcasing zones, NPCs and the Ancient Gods players will face in Eldest Souls. The Switch version joins the previously announced PC version, also heading to the hands of valiant players in the summer.

Network TV Shows Won’t Be Coming Back This Season

Nothing’s final yet, but executives at the major broadcast TV networks are now working under the assumption that few — if any — of the dozens of series that halted production in recent days because of the coronavirus pandemic will be returning anytime soon. Per multiple TV industry insiders, it now seems almost certain most series already on the air will end their seasons early, anywhere from one to four episodes short of their planned full-season orders. “Realistically, every show that shut production down is done,” one exec told Vulture.

When networks, studios, and streaming platforms last week began announcing they were shutting down production to safeguard the health of casts and crews, they generally described the pauses as “temporary,” suggesting they’d reassess the situation in a few weeks. But now, even if the rosiest scenarios for the course of the pandemic play out — if, say, the CDC suggests in two or three weeks that it might be safe to loosen social-distancing measures — the industry insiders Vulture spoke with believe it won’t matter. While it might be possible to resume filming in early April and still complete an episode or two in time for this broadcast season, it won’t be practical in most cases. “It just doesn’t make a sense to come back in a month for the last episode or two,” one insider told us.

‘Westworld’ Season 3 Premieres Down 57% From Last Season

“Westworld” came back online on Sunday night for season 3, but struggled to match the viewership highs it achieved two years ago up against the Democratic debate.

The season 3 premiere drew 901,000 total viewers to the live broadcast on HBO, which represents a 57% dip from last season’s premiere (which drew 2.1 million) and the show’s lowest viewership tally to date. Overall, the episode scored 1.7 million viewers across HBO’s platforms when taking into account digital viewers. That means its viewership was split almost 50-50 between live and streaming, a much more even balance than previous seasons which skewed far more towards live. For comparison, the last episode of “Westworld,” which aired way back in June 2018, scored 1.6 million total viewers.

That debut figure is still one of HBO’s strongest this season, outperforming “The Outsider” by 24% and the “Watchmen” premiere by 13%.

Sonic The Hedgehog Surpasses Detective Pikachu To Become Highest-Grossing Video Game Movie

Sonic the Hedgehog's latest weekend total allowed it to surpass Detective Pikachu and become the highest-grossing video game movie ever in the US.

When the first trailer for Sonic the Hedgehog dropped last year, the world looked on in collective horror. What had Paramount done to our poor, beloved hedgehog? The design of the iconic video game character was criticized so heavily that the studio decided to delay the movie's release so that Sonic could be tweaked.

As it turns out, Sonic's rescheduling couldn't have been timed more perfectly for a number of reasons. Had it been released in November 2019 as planned, it would have gone up against the behemoth that was Frozen 2. It's February release meant its only real competition was Birds Of Prey which massively under-performed at the box office. Plus, DC's latest offering might not even be considered competition for Sonic since it's not exactly aimed at kids and families.

‘Cats’ Sweeps Razzie Awards With Six Wins Including Worst Picture After Ceremony Canceled Due To Coronavirus

With all that is going on in the world the winners of the Razzies, aka the Golden Raspberry Awards, would fall under the category of most trivial, but sometimes in the face of adversity it might be good to remind ourselves there is still a light side to take our minds off far more serious things.

As a result of the coronavirus crisis, the Razzies were, like just about every other event, forced to cancel their big weekend plans for a live Los Angles ceremony (originally it was to have been streamed), so instead winners were just announced Monday via press release.

Universal’s widely derided musical Cats (full disclosure: I kinda liked it, so sue me) swept the “honors” with six wins including Worst Picture, Worst Supporting Actor and Actress (James Corden and Rebel Wilson, respectively), Worst On Screen Combo, Worst Screenplay and Worst Director for Tom Hooper.

Great British Menu is back, and it's bigger than ever!

ITV orders documentary Manhunt: The Raoul Moat Story

The impact of Raoul Moat’s murderous rampage across the North East is the focus of a new current affairs documentary commissioned by ITV from MultiStory Media Cymru, part of ITV Studios.

A decade on from the Moat case, the new 60-minute programme explores the police and public reaction to the drama as it unfolded tragically in July 2010.

Fronted by journalist Nicky Campbell, Manhunt: The Raoul Moat Story, which is being produced out of MultiStory Media Cymru’s base in Cardiff, speaks to police officers who led the hunt for Moat, who went on the run after shooting dead his ex-girlfriend’s new lover Chris Brown, and severely wounding her.

Containing exclusive new interviews with family members, witnesses and journalists who covered the hunt as it unfolded, the programme seeks to piece together the tragic events which gripped the nation and ultimately led to Moat shooting himself dead while surrounded by armed police.

Interview with Tommy Baker

FACING EAST is the story of a cemetery in Kentucky that re-uses graves – over and over and over. It’s a confronting and powerful doc. We spoke to director Tommy Baker about it.

Tell us about the motivation to make a film based on this, well, crooked cemetery?

I just kind of fell into this documentary really organically. A friend of mine recommended me to the Friends of Eastern Cemetery group, I was just starting off as a film maker and they needed someone to come and help them shoot some footage they could use to raise awareness of what they were doing. I believe they were in their first year and the cemetery was still in really bad shape. After leaving the first day that I came down there with my camera, I knew that there was a much, much bigger story there and I had to find out more. I didn't know right off that it would be a feature length film but the more I kept going down there, talking to people, researching the cemetery, the crazier and crazier the story kept getting. Several times we thought we had a rough cut of the finished movie and then someone would contact us or some new piece of information would come to light. None of us expected the story to be as big, or as dark as it ultimately turned out to be.

‘Stranger Things’ Shuts Down As Netflix Halts All Film & Scripted TV Production In U.S & Canada Over Coronavirus

Netflix is the latest media company to suspend film and TV production in the face of escalating health crisis stemming from the coronavirus pandemic, which prompted President Donald Trump to declare national emergency on Friday.

All scripted TV and films in US and Canada are grounded for the next two weeks, starting Monday, March 16. The shutdown is done out of precaution and in compliance with bans on large gatherings, travel and other restrictions by authorities in the U.S. and abroad.

The long list includes Netflix’s flagship series, Stranger Things, which has been filming its fourth season — the show’s cast posted a video from a table read last week — and a slew of other shows, including the upcoming Sex/Life starring Sarah Shahi. As Deadline reported yesterday, Ryan Murphy’s Netflix movie The Prom had already been shut down. All are produced by Netflix.

English Premier League Soccer Suspended Amid Coronavirus Fears

The English Premier League, the world's most widely-watched and richest soccer division, has suspended all games until April 3 due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The news comes a day after it was revealed that Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta and Chelsea player Callum Hudson-Odoi tested positive for COVID-19, the illness that is caused by the virus and affects lungs and airways, and several teams announced that their games this Saturday were being postponed. The decision was made on Friday following an emergency meeting by the league and all 20 clubs.

Earlier on Friday, Everton confirmed that, as a precautionary measure, its entire first-team squad and coaching staff is undertaking a period of self-isolation following medical advice after a first-team player reported symptoms consistent with coronavirus.

The league, which Liverpool is currently topping and who only need to win 2 more games to win due to their massive lead over second place Manchester City, kicked off on Aug. 9 and was due to wrap on May 17.
