Neptunia Riders VS Dogoos is a fun and visually appealing game that embraces the Hyperdimension Neptunia series' signature humour and charm. The colourful environments, smooth performance, and cel-shaded character designs make it a pleasure to look at, and the core gameplay of riding motorbikes while collecting different types of Dogoos is entertaining, especially in multiplayer. The chaotic nature of races, where certain Dogoos can either help or hinder progress, adds an element of strategy that keeps things interesting in the short term. The soundtrack complements the energetic tone, and the lighthearted dialogue will appeal to fans of the series.
However, the game struggles with depth and replayability. The controls can feel imprecise at times, and while the stages look varied, they start to feel repetitive after a while. With only 15 stages, the campaign is short, and beyond multiplayer, there isn't much incentive to keep playing. While Neptunia fans will likely enjoy the quirky premise and humour, those looking for a more substantial experience may find it lacking. It's a solid and enjoyable game, but one that doesn't quite reach its full potential.
