REVIEW: Aqua Strike (VR Game) on MetaQuest - Racing, Combat, and Splashes of Fun

Aqua Strike makes a splash as the first boat racing game on Meta Quest, blending fast-paced races with thrilling combat. The game's intuitive two-handed steering system adds a satisfying level of realism, while the ability to customize boats and equip weapons keeps each race exciting. The mix of Race and Chase modes provides variety, and the progression system, with unlockable boats, skins, and tracks, gives players a reason to keep coming back. Impressively, the game is designed to reduce motion sickness, making it comfortable to play even during longer sessions,  a huge win for a VR title set on constantly moving water.

While the game is plenty of fun, it is not without its flaws. The graphics are fairly basic, and the sense of speed can feel a bit underwhelming at times. It seems like the developers may have prioritized comfort over sheer velocity, which slightly dulls the adrenaline rush you might expect from a racing game. Despite this, Aqua Strike remains a solid and enjoyable experience. It may not be the most polished VR racer out there, but its accessible gameplay, fun combat elements, and thoughtful approach to player comfort make it an easy recommendation for anyone looking to try something new in VR.
