REVIEW: Driving Is Hard (2025 Video Game) A Punishing but Satisfying Test of Patience

Driving Is Hard is a brutally challenging physics-based driving game where you control a bathtub on wheels, navigating steep terrain where every mistake can send you tumbling back to the start. The controls are tight and responsive, and the colourful, detailed environments keep things visually engaging. While the game is incredibly frustrating, that is the whole point. Mastery requires patience and precision, and for those who enjoy skill-based games that push players to their limits, this is a perfect example. Alongside the challenge, there is also a surprising emotional depth, as the game follows Jeff's personal struggles and growth, making the journey feel more meaningful.

Despite regular updates and bug fixes from the developer, this is not a game for everyone. If you do not enjoy games that punish failure harshly, you may find yourself more frustrated than entertained. It is a test of patience, and for those who lack it, this game will quickly become an exercise in stress. However, for players who love tough but fair challenges, Driving Is Hard delivers an engaging and rewarding experience. The demo is worth trying to see if it suits your playstyle. I enjoyed it to a point, but my patience only stretched so far.
